Blockchain District is, first and foremost, a meeting point for innovators. The discussion starts from the study of available technologies and their potential, how to improve them and how to integrate them. In this sense, our reality resembles a university campus: we deal with pure research, developing basic technological solutions whose application potential is, often, still to be explored. In other words, first we find the answers, then we look for the questions.
Our Lab produces intellectual property that, just as it happens in a campus, is shared between the innovator or the working group that produced it and BD, who provided the resources and network for its development.
This is where another innovation factor comes into play. We don’t just protect IP through the classic patent system, assisting the owner throughout the process of submitting and processing the application. For us, this is a starting point: our approach is to use the blockchain framework as a system of control, distribution and shared enhancement. Each of our solutions is registered on the BD blockchain, to certify its origin and take care of its distribution to interested parties, in a way that is as open as it is secure. What’s more, with this solution, it is possible to vary and integrate the original product, recording the contributions of each one in order to distribute the value generated by the application of the idea among all those who have been able to enrich and expand it.
